Soojak Film in association with Studio&NEW. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kim Woo-taek, Jang Kyung-ik, Park Jae-soo and Mo Chong-jin. The movie is directed by Kim Kwang-sik. Next Entertainment World acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Great Battle was released on 18th October 2018 in Korean and Mandarin languages and takes a screen time of 136 minutes. The Great Battle was made on a budget of $21 billion and at the box office it grossed only $41 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kim Kwang-sik. Cinematography was done by Nam Dong-geun and editing by Kim Chang-joo. The music was composed by Yoon Il-sang.
