13-year-old New Yorker Theo Decker's life is turned upside-down when his mother is killed in a terrorist attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Confused in the rubble of the tragedy, he steals a priceless piece of art known as The Goldfinch. The Goldfinch is a 2019 American English-language Drama movie starring Ansel Elgort, Oakes Fegley, Aneurin Barnard, Finn Wolfhard, Sarah Paulson, Luke Wilson and Netta Dar. The movie is inspired from The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. Amazon Studios in association with Color Force. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. The Goldfinch is written by Peter Straughan and directed by John Crowley. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Goldfinch was released on 19th September 2019 and takes a screen time of 149 minutes. The Goldfinch was made on a budget of $45 million and at the box office it grossed only $9 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Peter Straughan. Cinematography was done by Roger Deakins and editing by Kelley Dixon. The music was composed by Trevor Gureckis.
