In a dystopian society, Jonas is chosen to receive memories from the Giver and decides to rebel against the governing elders, escaping with a baby named Gabriel to bring back color and memories to their community, successfully saving Fiona in the process. The movie is based on The Giver by Lois Lowry. Walden Media was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jeff Bridges, Nikki Silver and Neil Koenigsberg. The Giver is written by Michael Mitnick, Robert B. Weide and Lois Lowry and it is directed by Phillip Noyce. The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Giver was released on 21st August 2014 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Giver was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $66 million. Cinematography was done by Ross Emery and editing by Barry Alexander Brown. The music was composed by Marco Beltrami.
