The Gift is a 2000 English-language Drama Fantasy film written by Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Epperson. The movie is directed by Sam Raimi and produced by James Jacks, Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg under the banner of Lakeshore Entertainment. A woman with extrasensory perception is asked to help find a young woman who has disappeared. The gift features Cate Blanchett in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Giovanni Ribisi, Keanu Reeves, Katie Holmes, Greg Kinnear, Hilary Swank and Michael Jeter. The music was composed by Christopher Young. Cinematography was done by Jamie Anderson and editing by Bob Murawski. The movie has a running time of 111 minutes. It was released on 19th January 2000. The Film was successful at box office. The Gift was made on a budget of $10 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $44 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Paramount Classics.
