A civil engineer and mathematician witness an unidentified flying object, which is later discovered to be a giant bird from an antimatter galaxy that attacks various aircraft and buildings before being defeated by a special type of exotic atom. The Giant Claw is a 1957 American English-language Fantasy Horror motion picture starring Jeff Morrow, Mara Corday, Morris Ankrum, Louis Merrill, Edgar Barrier, Robert Shayne and Robert Williams. Clover Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sam Katzman. The Giant Claw is written by Samuel Newman and Paul Gangelin and it is directed by Fred F. Sears. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Giant Claw was released on 1st June 1957 and takes a screen time of 75 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $3 million. Cinematography was done by Benjamin H. Kline and editing by Anthony Dimarco and Saul A. Goodkind

      Director Fred F. Sears working from Robert E. Kents screenplay has infused The Werewolf with a brisk pace and surprisingly stylish visuals, and theres little doubt that his decision to prolong the reveal of the title creature plays a significant role in the movies mild success (the viewer doesnt get a good look at the guy until about the midway point).
