A Boston teen finds a golden staff in a Chinatown pawnshop and is transported to ancient China to join forces with friends to defeat the Jade Warlord and witch Ni-Chang while searching for the Monkey Kings magic staff. The Forbidden Kingdom is a 2008 American English-language Action Adventure film starring Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Collin Chou, Liu Yifei, Li Bingbing, Michael Angarano and David Cooke. Nemo Films in association with DreamWorks Television , Amblin Television , Fox Television Studios , Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Casey Silver. The Forbidden Kingdom is written by John Fusco and directed by Rob Minkoff. Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Forbidden Kingdom was released on 17th April 2008 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Forbidden Kingdom was made on a budget of $55 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $128 million. Cinematography was done by Peter Pau and editing by Eric Strand. The music was composed by David Buckley.
