A street magician from Mumbai travels to Paris to find his father, meets a woman named Marie and goes on a series of adventures across Europe and Libya, ultimately returning to India to become a teacher and reuniting with Marie. The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is a 2018 English-language Comedy Drama movie featuring Dhanush, B R Nice Bejo, Erin Moriarty, Barkhad Abdi, G Rard Jugnot, Ben Miller and Marie Gautier. The movie is inspired from The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe by Romain Puertolas. Brio Films in association with M! Capital Ventures, Little Red Car Films and TF1 Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jonah Goldman, Luc Bossi, Jon Goldman, Saurabh Gupta, Aditi Anand, Gulzar Chahal, Gr Goire Lassalle, Genevieve Lemal and Jaime Mateus-tique. The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is written by Romain Puertolas and directed by Ken Scott. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir was released on 30th May 2018 and takes a screen time of 92 minutes. The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir was made on a budget of $20 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Cinematography was done by Vincent Mathias AFC and editing by Yvann Thibaudeau. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Amit Trivedi along with Nicolas Err Ra.
