A mother becomes increasingly concerned over her daughters strange behavior, leading her to seek both scientific and supernatural explanations, ultimately turning to a troubled priest for help in saving her daughters soul from an evil entity possessing her. The Exorcist is a 1973 Indian English-language Horror film featuring Alia Bhatt, Ellen Burstyn, Max Von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, Jack Macgowran and Barton Lane. The Exorcist was Produced by William Peter Blatty, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde. The Exorcist is written by William Peter Blatty and Gauri Shinde and it is directed by Gauri Shinde. NH Studioz acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Exorcist was released on 26th December 1973 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Exorcist was made on a budget of $11 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $441 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gauri Shinde. Cinematography was done by Laxman Utekar and editing by Hemanti Sarkar. The music was composed by Steve Boeddeker along with Amit Trivedi. At the 1974 Oscar Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium and Best Sound.
