The disappearance and suspected murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi leads to a global investigation revealing Saudi Arabias involvement and a subsequent cover-up, while his loved ones and supporters persistently seek justice and expose the dangers faced by those fighting oppressive regimes. The Dissident is a 2020 American Arabic-language Documentary Crime movie featuring Jamal Khashoggi, Omar Abdulaziz, Irfan Fidan, Recep Kiliç, Wadah Khanfar, Resul Serdar Atas and John Scott-railton. The Dissident was Produced by Bryan Fogel, Mark Monroe, Jake Swantko and Thor Halvorssen. The movie is directed by Bryan Fogel. Briarcliff Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Dissident was released on 24th January 2020 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The film made a box office gross of $0 million. Cinematography was done by Jake Swantko and editing by James Leche, Wyatt Rogowski, Avner Shiloah, Scott Hanson and Naeem Raza.
