The Deserter

After his wife is killed in an Apache attack and he blames Major Wade Brown, Captain Victor Kaleb seeks revenge against the Apaches two years later with a select group of soldiers, and successfully defeats the Apache stronghold, but Kaleb chooses to leave rather than take the pardon he was offered. The Deserter is a 1970 English-language Western Drama film starring Bekim Fehmiu, John Huston, Richard Crenna, Chuck Connors, Ricardo Montalb N, Ian Bannen and José Terrón. Dino de Laurentiis Cinematografica was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dino De Laurentiis, Norman Baer and Ralph Serpe. The Deserter is written by Clair Huffaker, Stuart J. Byrne and William H. James and it is directed by Burt Kennedy. Paramount acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Deserter was released on 25th March 1971 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. Cinematography was done by Aldo Tonti and editing by Frank Santillo. The music was composed by Piero Piccioni.
