The espionage thriller begins in 1997, as shocking news reaches retired Mossad secret agents Rachel (Helen Mirren) and Stefan (Tom Wilkinson) about their former colleague David (Ciarán Hinds). All three have been venerated for decades by their country because of the mission that they undertook back in 1965, when the trio (portrayed, respectively, by Jessica Chastain, Marton Csokas, and Sam Worthington) tracked down Nazi war criminal Vogel (Jesper Christensen) in East Berlin. At great risk, and at considerable personal cost, the team's mission was accomplished - or was it? The suspense builds in and across two different time periods, with startling action and surprising revelations. Written by Focus Features The Debt is a 2010 English-language Drama Thriller motion picture starring Helen Mirren, Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Jesper Christensen, Marton Csokas, Ciar N Hinds and Erika Szórádi. The movie is inspired from Ha-Hov by Assaf Bernstein Ido Rosenblum. Marv Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Matthew Vaughn and Kris Thykier. The movie is directed by John Madden. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Debt was released on 15th June 2011 in English,German and Russian languages and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Debt was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $45 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Matthew Vaughn, Jane Goldman and Peter Straughan. Cinematography was done by Ben Davis and editing by Alexander Berner. The music was composed by Thomas Newman.
