A family unknowingly awakens an ancient supernatural entity on a Grand Canyon vacation, and must fight for survival when it follows them home. The Darkness is a 2016 American Hindi-language Horror Thriller motion picture featuring Kevin Bacon, Radha Mitchell, Jennifer Morrison, Lucy Fry, David Mazouz, Ming-na Wen and Chad Heffelfinger. Blumhouse Productions in association with Chapter One Films and EMU Creek Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jason Blum, Matthew Kaplan, Bianca Martino and Greg Mclean. The Darkness is written by Shayne Armstrong, S.p. Krause and Greg Mclean and it is directed by Greg Mclean. BH Tilt acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Darkness was released on 13th May 2016 and takes a screen time of 92 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Darkness was made on a budget of $4 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $10 million. Cinematography was done by Toby Oliver and editing by Sean Lahiff and Timothy Alverson. The music was composed by Johnny Klimek.
