Dr. Orloff, a man running a life insurance agency in London, is discovered to be insuring bodies found in the Thames River for a charity he disguises himself as, but when one of the deceaseds daughters becomes suspicious and starts working at the charity, the truth is revealed, leading to a final confrontation where Orloffs henchman turns against him and ultimately saves the daughter. The Dark Eyes of London is a 1939 English-language Crime Horror motion picture starring B La Lugosi, Hugh Williams, Greta Gynt, Edmon Ryan, Wilfred Walter, Alexander Field and Julie Suedo. The movie is inspired from The Dark Eyes of London by Edgar Wallace. Argyle Film was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Argyle. The Dark Eyes of London is written by John Argyle, Patrick Kirwan, Walter Summers and Jan Van Lusil and it is directed by Walter Summers. ABPC acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Dark Eyes of London was released on 24th March 1940 and takes a screen time of 76 minutes. Cinematography was done by Bryan Langley and editing by Ted Richards. The music was composed by Guy Jones.
