A thousand years ago on the planet Thra, the Skeksis and the Mystics fight over a shard from the Crystal of Truth, with the Mystics raising a young Gelfling named Jen to save Thra by retrieving the shard and restoring the Crystal, leading to a power struggle and a fulfilling of an ancient prophecy.
