A man named Evan Treborn discovers he can time travel through journals and attempts to change traumatic events from his past, but these changes lead to unintended consequences and eventually result in his own deterioration, ultimately realizing he must stop altering the past to ensure a better future for himself and his friends. The Butterfly Effect is a 2004 American English-language Sci-Fi Thriller movie starring Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart, Eric Stoltz, William Lee Scott, Elden Henson, Logan Lerman and Bret Aaron Knower. FilmEngine in association with BenderSpink and Katalyst. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anthony Rhulen, Chris Bender, Ashton Kutcher, Jc Spink and A.j. Dix. The motion picture is written and directed by Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber. New Line Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Butterfly Effect was released on 4th March 2004 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. The Butterfly Effect was made on a budget of $13 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Cinematography was done by Matthew F. Leonetti and editing by Peter Amundson. The music was composed by Michael Suby.
