An American nanny is hired to take care of a life-sized porcelain doll, but strange events occur, leading her to believe that the doll is possessed by the spirit of a dead boy, and when the doll is destroyed, the real Brahms emerges from the walls of the house. The Boy is a 2016 English-language Horror Mystery film featuring James Russell, Lauren Cohan, Rupert Evans, Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle, Ben Robson and Stephanie Lemelin. The Boy was Produced by Gary Lucchesi, Roy Lee, Matt Berenson, Jodyne Herron, Tom Rosenberg and Jim Wedaa. The Boy is written by Stacey Menear and directed by William Brent Bell. STX Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Boy was released on 15th June 2016 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Boy was made on a budget of $10 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $73 million. Cinematography was done by Daniel Pearl and editing by Brian Berdan. The music was composed by Bear Mccreary.
