A lumberman tries to cut down redwood trees in northern California, but is opposed by the locals led by Elder Bixby, and his right-hand man, Yukon Burns. The Big Trees is a 1952 American English-language Action Romance film starring Kirk Douglas, Eve Miller, Patrice Wymore, Edgar Buchanan, John Archer, Alan Hale Jr. and Arthur Berkeley. Warner Bros. was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Louis F. Edelman. The movie is directed by Felix E. Feist. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Big Trees was released on 30th March 1952 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. The Big Trees was made on a budget of $28 million and at the box office it grossed only $7 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by John Twist and James R. Webb. Cinematography was done by Bert Glennon and editing by Clarence Kolster. The music was composed by Heinz Roemheld.
