The movie is inspired from The BFG by Roald Dahl. The BFG was Produced by Sam Mercer, Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall. The BFG is written by Melissa Mathison and directed by Steven Spielberg. Walt Disney Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. The BFG was released on 18th August 2016 and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The BFG was made on a budget of $140 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $195 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Melissa Mathison. Cinematography was done by Janusz Kami ski and editing by Michael Kahn. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner John Williams.
