Crunch Calhoun, a reformed thief turned motorcycle daredevil, teams up with his old colleague to steal a historical book, but his true plan is to use the opportunity to steal a valuable painting from his brother and make a fortune, with the involvement of Interpol and a secret ally. The Art of the Steal is a 2013 English-language Comedy Crime film featuring Kurt Russell, Jay Baruchel, Katheryn Winnick, Chris Diamantopoulos, Kenneth Welsh, Jason Jones and Stephen Lee Wright. Darius Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nicholas Tabarrok. The movie is written and directed by Jonathan Sobol.       Crunchs speech about honor is played for laughs, but its one of the few moments where the movie comes close to admitting that its about the notion of choosing to believe in something false because it conforms to ones desires.The other comes from a non comedic monologue from not quite antagonist Samuel Winter (Terence Stamp), an art thief whos gone to the other side in exchange for a reduced sentence.
