The Apartment

Diamond and it is directed by Billy Wilder. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the film. The film has a running time of 125 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Apartment was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $18 million. Cinematography was done by Joseph LaShelle and editing by Daniel Mandell. The music was composed by Adolph Deutsch. At the 1961 Oscar Awards It won 5 awards including: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writing, Story and Screenplay - Written Directly for the Screen, Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Black-and-White and Best Film Editing. At the 1960 Venice Film Festival It also won an award for Best Actress (Shirley MacLaine).
