The movie is based on Falling Upwards: How We Took to the Air by Richard Holmes. Mandeville Films in association with FilmNation Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tom Harper, Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman. The Aeronauts is written by Tom Harper and Jack Thorne and it is directed by Tom Harper. Entertainment One acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Aeronauts was released on 4th November 2019 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Aeronauts was made on a budget of $40 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million.
