Thankam

In Thrissur, two gold brokers, Muthu and Kannan, go to Mumbai to distribute gold, but when Kannan mysteriously disappears and is found dead with signs of foul play, Muthu enlists Inspector Vijay to help unravel the truth, only to discover that Kannan planned his own murder to safeguard his family and Muthu from his debts, causing Muthu to present the case as murder instead of suicide, while Kannans wife deposits the gold locket given to her by one of Kannans friends in a temple hundial, and they eventually return to Thrissur, dealing with their own personal struggles. Thankam is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language Crime Drama movie featuring Biju Menon, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Girish Kulkarni, Vineeth Thatil Dev, Jain Andrews and Kolai Venkitesh. Thankam was Produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran. Thankam is written by Syam Pushkaran and directed by Saheed Arafath. Bhavana Release acquired the distribution rights for the film. Thankam was released on 26th January 2023 and takes a screen time of 145 minutes. Cinematography was done by Gautham Sankar and editing by Kiran Das. The music was composed by Bijibal.
