Thalaivi is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language Drama Biography movie featuring Kangana Ranaut, Arvind Swami, Raj Arjun, Dharmendra, Raj Babbar, Aayub Khan and Harish. The movie is based on Book named Thalaivii by Ajayan Bala. Vibri Media in association with Karma Media And Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Shailesh R Singh and Brinda Prasad. The movie is directed by V. Sai Prasad, Al Vijay and A. L. Vijay. Zee Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Thalaivi was released on 1st January 1997 and takes a screen time of 153 minutes. Thalaivi was made on a budget of ₹100 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹4 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by V. Vijayendra Prasad. Cinematography was done by Vishal Vittal and editing by Anthony and Ballu Saluja. The music was composed by Gv Prakash Kumar along with Ankit Balhara and G. V. Prakash Kumar.
