Thaen is a Tamil movie that sheds light on the struggles of economically-backward families in India who cannot afford medical care, and encourages viewers to take a proactive approach to help those in need for social and economic justice. Thaen is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language Drama movie featuring Suriya, Karthik, Ramya Krishnan, Keerthy Suresh, Abarnathi and Tharun Kumar. The movie is inspired from Special 26 by Neeraj Pandey. Studio Green was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) K. E. Gnanavel Raja. The film is written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. Bharathan Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Thaen was released on 19th March 2021 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹90 crore. Cinematography was done by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
