Thackeray is a 2020 Indian Marathi-language Action Drama movie featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amrita Rao and Prajwal Devaraj. The movie is inspired from Bal Thackeray. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures in association with Raut ers Entertainment and Carnival Motion Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Shrikant Bhasi, Varsha Sanjay Raut, Purvashi Sanjay Raut and Vidhita Sanjay Raut. Thackeray is written by Arvind Jagtap and Manoj Yadav and it is directed by Guru Deshpande and Abhijit Panse. Viacom18 Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Thackeray was released on 8th December 2020 in Marathi and Hindi languages and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. Thackeray was made on a budget of ₹31 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹19 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Abhijit Panse. Cinematography was done by Sudeep Chatterjee and editing by Ashish Mahatrae and Apurva Motivale. The music was composed by Rohan-rohan along with Sandeep Shirodkar and Amar Mohile.
