Tamasha is a 1952 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama film featuring Meena Kumari, Dev Anand, Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar, S.n. Banerjee, Sunalini Devi and O.p. Goyle. Bombay Talkies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ashok Kumar and Savak Vacha. Tamasha is written by Manna Dey, Khemchand Prakash and Kishan Chandar and it is directed by Phani Majumdar. Bombay Talkies acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Tamasha was released on 1st January 1952. Tamasha was made on a budget of ₹87 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹68 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Phani Majumdar. Cinematography was done by Roque M. Layton and editing by Raghu Tipnis. The music was composed by National Award winner Manna Dey along with S. K. Pal and Khemchand Prakash.
