Five tourists in old catacombs are told stories by the Crypt Keeper about how they will die, leading each of them to a deadly fate. Tales from the Crypt is a 1972 English-language Drama Horror motion picture starring Joan Collins, Peter Cushing, Roy Dotrice, Richard Greene, Ian Hendry, Patrick Magee and Fred Wood. The movie is based on Tales from the Crypt The Vault of Horror by Al Feldstein Johnny Craig Bill Gaines. Amicus Productions in association with Metromedia Producers Corporation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Milton Subotsky and Max Rosenberg. The movie is directed by Freddie Francis. Cinerama Releasing Corporation acquired the distribution rights for the film.
