In 1999, a granddaughter continues her grandfathers work of uncovering a cursed tomb containing Talos, who seeks physical perfection and immortality by killing anyone who opposes him and hunts down the reincarnation of his former love in order to gain immortality. Tale of the Mummy is a 1998 English-language Adventure Fantasy film featuring Jason Scott Lee, Louise Lombard, Sean Pertwee, Lysette Anthony, Michael Lerner, Jack Davenport and Enzo Junior. Dimension Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Silvio Muraglia and Daniel Sladek. Tale of the Mummy is written by Keith Williams, Russell Mulcahy and John Esposito and it is directed by Russell Mulcahy. Buena Vista Home Video acquired the distribution rights for the film. Tale of the Mummy was released on 24th September 1998 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. Tale of the Mummy was made on a budget of $8 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Cinematography was done by Gabriel Beristain and editing by Armen Minasian. The music was composed by Stefano Mainetti.
