Swing Kids

In this swinging musical drama set during the Korean War, the soldiers at a POW camp plan a tap show to distract both themselves and the prisoners from the hardships of war. Led by a former Broadway dancer and a rebellious North Korean soldier, the band of prisoners find a new sense of freedom in dancing. Written by Well Go USA Entertainment Swing Kids is a 2018 Korean Korean-language Drama film featuring Doh Kyung-soo, Park Hye-su, Jared Grimes, Oh Jung-se, Kim Min-ho, Do Kyung Soo and Darin Shaw. The movie is based on Rho Ki-soo by Jang Woo-sung. Annapurna Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lee An-na and Yoo Sung-kweon. The movie is directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol. Next Entertainment World acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Swing Kids was released on 17th January 2019 in Korean and English languages and takes a screen time of 133 minutes. Swing Kids was made on a budget of $15 billion and at the box office it grossed only $10 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kang Hyeong-cheol. Cinematography was done by Kim Ji-yong and editing by Nam Na-yeong. The music was composed by Kim Jun-seok.
