The movie Swami follows the life of a man named Swami, his marriage to Radha, their struggles to provide for their son Anand, and their dreams for a better future, highlighting the sacrifices they make for each other and the bittersweet ending as Swami finds solace in a rocking chair. Swami is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language Drama movie featuring Manoj Bajpayee, Juhi Chawla, Nitin Arora, Amitabh Bachchan, Ashok Beniwal, Alex Bhagat and Neha Pendsev. Swastik Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ganesh Acharya and Pushpa Krishna Creations. Swami is written by Muazzam Beg, Bhavani Iyer and Samee Siddiqui and it is directed by Ganesh Acharya. Amarnathan Movies acquired the distribution rights for the film. Swami was released on 8th June 2007. Swami was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹16 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by Bhavani Iyer and Muazzam Beg. Cinematography was done by Lenin Xavier and editing by Kuldip Mehan. The music was composed by Nitin Arora along with Sony Chandy and Nitz n Sony.
