A wealthy man named Raja seeks revenge against three men who killed his parents and stole their jewelry, gains supernatural powers through a pact with Lord Hanuman, and ultimately kills the traitors, helps his sisters lover unite with her, exposes the final traitor, and marries his business partners daughter, Jaya, resulting in a happy ending. Superman is a 1980 Indian Telugu-language Fantasy Musical motion picture starring N. T. Rama Rao, Jaya Prada, Taraka Rama Rao Nandamuri, Jayamalini, Satyanarayana Kaikala and Pandari Bai. The movie is based on Superman by Mario Puzo David Newman Leslie Newman Robert Benton Richard Donner. Lakshmi Vishnu Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ram Gopal Varma and R. Gopal. Superman is written by V. Madhusudan Rao and Acharya Aatreya and it is directed by V. Madhusudan Rao and V. Madhusudhana Rao. Superman was released on 10th July 1980 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. The film made a box office gross of ₹19 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by V. Madhusudhana Rao. Cinematography was done by K. S. Prasad and editing by D. Venkataratnam. The music was composed by Chakravarthy.
