After losing a powerful orb, Kara Zor-El, Superman s cousin, comes to Earth to retrieve it and instead finds herself up against a wicked witch. Supergirl is a 1984 English-language movie starring Faye Dunaway, Helen Slater, Hart Bochner, Peter Cook, Mia Farrow, Marc Mcclure and Peter O toole. The movie is inspired from Supergirl by Otto Binder Al Plastino. Artistry in association with Investors In Industry, Robert Fleming Leasing and St. Michael Finance. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Timothy Burrill. The movie is directed by Jeannot Szwarc. TriStar-Fox Film Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the film. Supergirl was released on 7th March 1984 and takes a screen time of 124 minutes. Supergirl was made on a budget of $35 million and at the box office it grossed only $14 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by David Odell. Cinematography was done by Alan Hume and editing by Malcolm Cooke. The music was composed by Jerry Goldsmith.
