Standby is a 2014 Japanese Japanese-language Comedy Romance motion picture featuring Wasabi Mizuta, Megumi Hara, Yumi Kakazu, Subaru Kimura, Tomokazu Seki, Yoshiko Kamei and Una Carroll. The movie is based on Doraemon by Fujiko F. Fujio. Shirogumi in association with Robot Communications and Shin-Ei Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Okura Shunsuke, Keiichiro Moriya, Kiyoko Shibuya and Maiko Okada. Standby is written by Pierce Ryan and directed by Rob Burke, Ronan Burke and Ry Ichi Yagi. Toho acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Standby was released on 14th November 2014 and takes a screen time of 95 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Standby was made on a budget of $35 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $183 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Takashi Yamazaki. The music was composed by Naoki Sato.
