The film opens with a daring escape of a convict imprisoned for killing an FBI agent, then moves on to two Seattle detectives chasing a suspect who gets away, destroying a forklift in the process, these two detectives are reassigned to a stakeout, watching the girlfriend of the escaped federal prisoner. One falls in love with her, the escaped convict eventually catches up to her, with them actually, and in the midst of their getaway, the escaped convict learns that his woman s man is a cop, but the two detectives kill him, saving the day. Written by davcalla777 Stakeout is a 1987 American English-language Action Comedy film starring Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, Madeleine Stowe, Aidan Quinn, Dan Lauria, Forest Whitaker and Robert Prowse. Touchstone Pictures in association with Silver Screen Partners II. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jim Kouf and Cathleen Summers. Stakeout is written by Jim Kouf and directed by John Badham. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Stakeout was released on 5th August 1987 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Stakeout was made on a budget of $14 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $65 million. Cinematography was done by John Seale and editing by Michael Ripps and Tom Rolf. The music was composed by Arthur B. Rubinstein.
