A Punjabi woman in an arranged marriage is abused by her husband and eventually sets fire to his feet, landing her in prison where she befriends a woman who helps her appeal her case and ultimately leads to a landmark case redefining provocation in cases of battered women in the UK. Sprovotsirovannaya is a 2006 Russian-language Crime Drama movie featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Robbie Coltrane, Miranda Richardson, Naveen Andrews, Ray Panthaki, Nandita Das and Derek Smee. Private Moments Ltd acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Sprovotsirovannaya was released on 26th April 2007. The Film was successful at box office.
