The movie is inspired from Characters by Dennis Feldman. FGM Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Frank Mancuso Jr. Species II is written by Chris Brancato and directed by Peter Medak. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Species II was released on 16th July 1998 and takes a screen time of 93 minutes. Species II was made on a budget of $35 million and at the box office it grossed only $19 million. Cinematography was done by Matthew F. Leonetti and editing by Richard Nord. The music was composed by Edward Shearmur.
