A drummer named Ruben and a singer named Lou live and perform in an RV as part of their band, but when Rubens hearing starts to deteriorate and he discovers that his insurance wont cover the cost of cochlear implants, he seeks help from a shelter for Deaf recovering addicts and eventually sells his belongings to fund the surgery, only to be disappointed with the results and ultimately find solace in silence in a park. Sound of Metal is a 2020 English-language Drama Musical movie starring Riz Ahmed, Olivia Cooke, Paul Raci, Mathieu Amalric, Lauren Ridloff, Jamie Ghazarian and Romulus Stoicescu. Sound of Metal is written by Darius Marder and Derek Cianfrance and it is directed by Darius Marder. Sound of Metal was released on 4th December 2020 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Sound of Metal was made on a budget of $5 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. At the 2021 Oscar Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Sound and Best Achievement in Film Editing.
