In the aftermath of violent political unrest, a Kikuyu woman named Anne faces immense personal loss and struggles to rebuild her life, while Joseph, haunted by guilt, falls in love and pursues a fresh start, but ultimately finds solace in leaving his violent past behind and embarking on a new life with Chebet in Nairobi. Something Necessary is a 2013 Swahili-language Drama motion picture starring Susan Wanjiru, Q Damah Kipchumba, Sue Wanjiru, Qdamah Kipchumba, David Kiprotich Mutai, Anne Kimani and Nini Wacera. Something Necessary was Produced by One Fine Day Films and Ginger Ink Films. Something Necessary is written by Mungai Kiroga and J. C. Niala and it is directed by Judy Kibinge. Rushlake Media GmbH acquired the distribution rights for the film. The movie has a running time of 85 minutes. Cinematography was done by Yinka Edward and editing by Justin Wachira.
