Queen Eleanor wishes for a daughter named Snow White, but dies after giving birth; Snow Whites father marries an evil sorceress named Ravenna who takes over the kingdom, locks Snow White away, drains the youth from young women to stay beautiful, and tries to kill Snow White; Snow White escapes with the help of the Huntsman, meets dwarfs, and defeats Ravenna with true loves kiss, becoming the new Queen. The movie is inspired from Snow White by the Brothers Grimm. Roth Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joe Roth and Sam Mercer. Snow White and the Huntsman is written by Evan Daugherty, John Lee Hancock and Hossein Amini and it is directed by Rupert Sanders. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Snow White and the Huntsman was released on 1st June 2012 and takes a screen time of 127 minutes.
