A New York City police constable named Ichabod Crane investigates a series of decapitations in the haunted town of Sleepy Hollow, discovering a conspiracy involving a headless Hessian mercenary and a secret marriage, ultimately defeating the mastermind and returning to New York City with his love interest. The movie is based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. Sleepy Hollow was Produced by Adam Schroeder, Scott Rudin and Larry Franco. Sleepy Hollow is written by Washington Irving, Kevin Yagher and Andrew Kevin Walker and it is directed by Tim Burton. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Sleepy Hollow was released on 17th February 2000 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Sleepy Hollow was made on a budget of $100 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $206 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Andrew Kevin Walker. Cinematography was done by Emmanuel Lubezki and editing by Chris Lebenzon. The music was composed by Danny Elfman. At the 2000 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration.
