Universal Pictures in association with Channel Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Hilton A. Green, Michelle Manning and Ned Tanen. The movie is written and directed by John Hughes. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Sixteen Candles was released on 4th May 1984 and takes a screen time of 93 minutes. The Film was successful at box office.
