A young divorced woman in Atlanta, Praful Patel, becomes addicted to gambling after a trip to Las Vegas, losing all her savings and getting rejected for a loan, leading to a series of events in which she resorts to stealing and robbing banks, ultimately facing consequences but finding redemption in prison. Simran is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language Crime Drama film featuring Kangana Ranaut, Sohum Shah, Hiten Kumar, Kishori Shahane, Esha Tewari, Jason Louder and Ellie Flory Fawcett. T-Series in association with Paramhans Creations Entertainments and Adarsh Telemedia. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shailesh R Singh and Amit Agarwal. Simran is written by Kangana Ranaut and Apurva Asrani and it is directed by Hansal Mehta. AA Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Simran was released on 20th October 2017 and takes a screen time of 124 minutes. Simran was made on a budget of ₹28 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹14 crore. Cinematography was done by Anuj Rakesh Dhawan and editing by Antara Lahiri. The music was composed by Hitesh Modak along with Sachin Jigar.
