Silence was Produced by Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Irwin Winkler, Martin Scorsese, Barbara De Fina, Randall Emmett, Vittorio Cecchi Gori and Gast N Pavlovich. Silence is written by Jay Cocks and Martin Scorsese and it is directed by Martin Scorsese. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Silence was released on 9th February 2017 in English and Japanese languages and takes a screen time of 161 minutes. Silence was made on a budget of $40 million and at the box office it grossed only $23 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Jay Cocks and Martin Scorsese. Cinematography was done by Rodrigo Prieto and editing by Thelma Schoonmaker. The music was composed by Kim Allen Kluge along with Kathryn Kluge.
