A ruthless moneylender seeks revenge on a film producer who cheats him, creating chaos on the film set and abducting the director, leading to a series of events involving corrupt police, the revelation of a tragic past, and the ultimate execution of revenge against the producer and police commissioner, allowing the moneylender to continue his business with his brother. Shylock is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language Thriller Action motion picture starring Mammootty, Rajkiran, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajon, Bibin George, John Vijay and Shanu Kumar. Goodwill Entertainments was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joby George. Shylock is written by Aneesh Hameed and Bibin Mohan and it is directed by Ajai Vasudev. Goodwill Entertainments acquired the distribution rights for the film. Shylock was released on 23rd January 2020 and takes a screen time of 130 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Shylock was made on a budget of ₹13 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹85 crore. Cinematography was done by Renadive and editing by Riyas K. Badhar. The music was composed by National Award winner Gopi Sundar.
