An elderly couples love story is intertwined with the political turmoil in Kashmir as they flee their home, become refugees, and strive to bring peace to the region while fulfilling their personal dreams. Shikara is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language Romance Drama film starring Aadil Khan, Sadia Khateeb, Faisal Simon, Payal Arora, Zamir Ashai, Hafsa Ashraf and Scott Milburn. Vinod Chopra Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Shikara is written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi and it is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Shikara was released on 2nd September 2021 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. Shikara was made on a budget of ₹14 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹7 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rahul Pandita and Abhijat Joshi. Cinematography was done by Rangarajan Ramabadran and editing by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Shikhar Misra. The music was composed by Sandesh Shandilya along with A. R. Rahman, Qutub-e-kripa, Abhay Sopori and Rohit Kulkarni.
