Sharaabi

Neglected son Vicky Kapoor becomes an alcoholic due to his fathers absence, but with the help of caretaker Munshi Phoolchand, he adopts an orphan named Anwar and later becomes a police inspector, devoting his life to helping others while facing obstacles in his personal relationships. Sharaabi is a 1984 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Prada, Om Prakash, Bharat Bhushan, Chandrashekhar, C.s. Dubey and Surekha-aishwarya Rane. Sharaabi was Produced by Satyendra Pal. The movie is directed by Prakash Mehra. Prakash Mehra Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Sharaabi was released on 18th May 1984. The Film was successful at box office. Sharaabi was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹7 crore. Cinematography was done by N. Satyen and editing by J. Adhikari. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri.
