Shankhachil

A humble couple from a small village in Bangladesh travels to Taki to find a cure for their daughter, facing challenges and hardships that shed light on their simple yet courageous life, highlighting the power of love and determination in the face of adversity. Shankhachil is a 2016 Bengali-language Drama History movie featuring Kusum Sikder, Shajbati, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Kushum Shikder, Shahed Ali, Ushasie Chakraborty and Nakul Vaid. Ashirbad Cholochitro in association with Impress Telefilm Limited and NIdeas Creations & Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Prosenjit Chatterjee, Prasenjit Chatterjee, Faridur Reza Sagar, Mou Raychowdhury and Habibur Rahman Khan. Shankhachil is written by Goutam Ghose and Sayantani Putatunda and it is directed by Goutam Ghose and Gautam Ghosh. V3G Films Private Limited acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Shankhachil was released on 14th April 2016 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gautam Ghosh and Timir Baran. Cinematography was done by Sunirmal Majumder and editing by Baishali Dasgupta, Bhowmick and Niladri Roy. The music was composed by Gautam Ghosh along with Sadif Rayhan. At the 2016 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Feature Film in Bengali.
