Shaitan

The movie follows a group of directionless young people in Mumbai who get blackmailed by a corrupt police inspector after accidentally killing two scooter riders in a hit-and-run. Shaitan is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime movie starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Kalki Koechlin, Pawan Malhotra, Shiv Panditt, Gulshan Devaiah, Neil Bhoopalam and Jayashankar Tripathi. AKFPL in association with Getaway Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anurag Kashyap, Guneet Monga and Sunil Bohra. Shaitan is written by Abhijeet Deshpande, K.s. Krishnan, Bejoy Nambiar, Megha Ramaswamy and Colin Terrence and it is directed by Bejoy Nambiar. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Shaitan was released on 10th June 2011 and takes a screen time of 121 minutes. Shaitan was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹8 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Megha Ramaswamy and Bejoy Nambiar. Cinematography was done by R. Madhi and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Amar Mohile along with Prashant Pillai, Ranjit Barot and Anupam Roy.
