A wealthy Indian author becomes depressed after winning the Booker prize and decides to base a story on his wife, who develops feelings for her admirer, causing the author to become schizophrenic. Shabd is a 2005 Hindi-language Drama Thriller movie featuring Sanjay Dutt, Aishwarya Rai, Zayed Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aakash Pandey, Sadiya Siddiqui and Happy Sharma. Shabd was Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. Shabd is written by Sutapa Sikdar, Leena Yadav and Llena Malhotra and it is directed by Leena Yadav. Pritish Nandy Communications acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Shabd was released on 4th February 2005. Shabd was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹7 crore. Cinematography was done by Aseem Bajaj and editing by Leena Yadav. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Shekhar Ravjiani along with Vishal Dadlani and Vishal Shekhar.
