A sexually repressed woman s husband is having an affair with her sister. The arrival of a visitor with a rather unusual fetish changes everything. Sex, Lies, and Videotape is a 1989 American English-language Drama movie featuring James Spader, Andie Macdowell, Peter Gallagher, Laura San Giacomo, Ron Vawter, Steven Brill and David Foil. Outlaw Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Hardy and Robert Newmyer. The film is written and directed by Steven Soderbergh. Miramax Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Sex, Lies, and Videotape was released on 8th September 1989 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Sex, Lies, and Videotape was made on a budget of $1 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $24 million. Cinematography was done by Walt Lloyd and editing by Steven Soderbergh. The music was composed by Cliff Martinez. At the 1989 Sundance Film Festival It won an award for Dramatic.
